Urine Drug Tests

The most common type of drug test is a urine drug test. RaBu Diagnostic performs thousands of these tests annually.  Specimens are sent to certified SAMHSA labs for testing.  If results are positive, all specimens receive confirmation testing.

Our urine drug tests are reviewed by our certified Medical Review Officers prior to releasing any information.  If clients are correctly taking prescription medication they can review all information with our doctors. Our testing practices meet the strict requirements of the DOT.

Window of Detection

Normally, drugs will remain in the urine for up to a week.  Heavy marijuana users can have it remain in their urine for a month. There are many factors that can impact the length of time that a particular drug will stay in a person’s system, such as an individual’s metabolism, the amount of drugs used, and the amount of fluids released since taking the drug.

Types of Urine Drug Tests

RaBu Diagnostic offers a wide variety of urine drug tests ranging from a basic five panel screening for common street drugs to comprehensive testing that includes many prescription drugs such as Oxycontin and Percocet. Nearly all drugs are excreted through the urine, making urine drug tests extremely reliable. When administered properly, as in the case of tests offered by RaBu, urine drug tests are very hard to cheat.

There are many reasons to perform urine drug testing including:

  • pre-employment
  • random screening
  • post accident occurrences
  • DOT or non-DOT drug testing
  • reasonable suspicion
  • return to duty
  • court ordered drug or alcohol testing
